It changed hands over the years with its incredible significance going unnoticed by the previous owners. It was repainted Wimbledon White and had drag wheels and tires added at some point. Nearly lost forever, it has been rescued and is being restored back to its original glory!  Serial number KK1201 is the holy grail of the Boss 429s. It is the very first 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 ever assembled! It is also the very first 4 speed, shaker hood car ever produced!

It is the very first 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 ever assembled! It is also the very first 4 speed, shaker hood car ever produced! 

Kar Kraft's main purpose for KK1201 was wheel and tire fitment and testing. Its original fenders and quarter panels are still rolled for the 15x7 wheels, and it also still has the original block and transmission, plus the shaker assembly and prototype hood. 

Adding further to the significance of this Boss 429 Prototype is the fact it played a part in the creation of “Ohio” George Montgomery’s 1969 Gasser. It was used to create the fiberglass mold for Ohio's Mr. Gasket Mustang Gasser!
